What is EFT?
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques, a term coined in the late 1980′s by its founder Gary Craig. It is an easy-to-learn and use procedure for relieving stress by tapping with fingertips on a few acupressure points while holding in mind any problem (pain, anxiety, anger, fear, etc.) or belief that is limiting your health or happiness. It works by removing disruptions in the body’s energy system, rather like acupuncture without needles. Most practitioners and even ‘newbies’ see impressive results over 80 % of the time. As founder Craig says, it often works where nothing else has, and we are encouraged to “try it on everything”. The best internet information on EFT is available on any of the ‘hotlink’ sites listed on the FAVORITE SITES page.
Here are some of the issues that have dissolved completely and permanently within one session in my experience with clients: headaches including migraines, aches and pains in the back, legs, neck, joints, wrists, “frozen” shoulder, whiplash pain, profuse nose bleed, swelling from contusion, wasp sting swelling and pain, fear of driving on bridges, fear of leaving the house, laryngitis, food cravings- especially chocolate, anger and frustration in relationships, chronic cough. The list goes on and on. As you can see, the breadth of issues on which EFT is effective is impressive enough to warrant the “try it on anything” slogan.
